James R. Clarke

Chairman & CTO; Co-Founder

With 34 years of experience in powertrain R&D and management, James leads our technology initiatives with a focus on advanced powertrain technologies. He previously held the position of Chief Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where he was instrumental in driving powertrain innovations.

Richard J. Fotsch

President & CEO; Co-Founder

Richard brings 37 years of experience in engine and power systems development and management. He is the former President of Kohler Co.’s Global Power Group, as well as a former President of Navistar Engine Company and Senior Vice President & General Manager at Briggs & Stratton Corp. His leadership and industry insight drive Bright Acceleration Technologies toward excellence.

With 39 years of experience in intellectual property acquisition, licensing, and enforcement, Thomas provides Bright Acceleration Technologies with strong legal guidance. His extensive practice across the Midwest, Silicon Valley, and overseas ensures that our intellectual assets are well-protected and strategically managed.
